Wearing Your Baby
Using a baby sling can be tricky at first, but with a little practice, it will be as easy as holding your baby in your arms. Fortunately this pouch style sling is the perfect sling for a beginner, as well as seasoned baby carrier professionals! When learning to use your Chic Sling, be sure to pick a time when your baby or toddler is well rested and fed so the experience will be as positive as possible. If baby seems fussy at first, be sure to move around with the baby in the baby sling. Most babies like the movement while in a baby carrier.Make sure your new Chic Sling fits properly. It should fit snugly. If the bottom of the pouch touches the tops of your thighs with baby in it while walking, it is too big. This can make the sling less secure, and uncomfortable to wear. The baby's bottom should hang at or a little below your bellybutton. If you have an Adjustable Pouch Sling, try the sling on first and then adjust using the instructions found here, until the pouch is the correct size.
There are several ways to wear your baby in a Chic Slings Baby Sling.

Tips and Tricks
Drawstring is placed in such a way that it should not cover arm, restrict arm movement, or interfere with child's comfort. If you do find some pulling or restriction...pull the drawn portion of fabric down away from arm, toward toggle.

Do not tighten this inside rail too much or you may feel some pulling on shoulder. If this happens, release inside rail toggle slightly. |
Another option for you is to refold the pouch after adjusting the sling so pocket is in front...toggles in back. Our personal preference. | |
